Vinyasa Yoga is an alignment-based, fluid movement class designed to build strength and stability with functional movement. While Vinyasa is not necessarily fast-paced, you can expect to challenge your full body strength, mobility and stability through several familiar postures and posture transitions. This class focuses on dynamic stretching and muscle integrity as opposed to long held static postures. Slow & Strong Flow is suitable for beginners with modifications offered for more experienced yogis. (Just because it’s slow doesn’t mean it’s easy!). Level 1 /2 is appropriate for students who already have a regular yoga practice and are looking to take their practice to a new level.
This is a gentle, slower practice where you will explore longer held, passive and supported physical postures with gentle added compression and breath work. We will work mindfully to relieve tension in the body, release the deep layers of fascia, connective tissues and joints and shift energetic responses. The result is improvement of mobility and joint health while also activating the body’s rest and digest response. Appropriate for all fitness levels, modifications will be given to those new to the yoga and movement journey.
