“Bones and Balance” is designed to support your bones by blending muscular balance, strength, flexibility and mobility in a gentle fitness format. With guided mind-body connection, this program will improve overall health through physical and mental focus. It is suitable for any individual interested in giving themselves the gifts of mind body awareness, improved fitness and lowered stress. “Bones and Balance” is accessible for any fitness level, but is designed with older adults and those with limited mobility in mind. Chairs may be utilized.
The Pilates principles of alignment are fused with functional fitness and circuit training to build greater strength and a balanced body. You'll flow through Pilates exercises to improve core conditioning, full body mobility and stability then follow up with functional fitness & circuit training to focus on building endurance, strength, and flexibility. Appropriate for all fitness levels, modifications will be given as needed. Various tools will be incorporated including foam rollers, pilates rings, soft weight balls, gliders, bands and more!
Join us on an explorative journey through yoga. These are Hatha based yoga classes where you will learn to practice mindfully and with respect for your own body. This class is built on a sequence of yoga postures (asanas), and conscious breathing (pranayama) combined with mental focus. Safely and gently develop your physical strength and flexibility with attention to posture, proper muscle activation and alignment. Let go of competition, judgement and expectations and build a yoga practice that is just right for you. Leave the studio feeling refreshed, energized and peaceful. Appropriate for all fitness levels, modifications will be given to those new to the yoga journey.
The Pilates principles of alignment are fused with yoga poses to build greater strength and a balanced body. You'll flow through Pilates exercises to improve strength, mobility, and stability followed by a series of yoga postures focusing on endurance, breath, strength, length, and opening the body. This is a Level 1/2 class.
Is it time to hit the re-set button on anxiety, stress and depression? This session is a specially designed gentle Hatha Yoga practice for use as a tool to balance mood, increase energy levels and reduce feelings and symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress. During this session you will: focus on breath control and learn breathing practices to soothe the anxious beast, incorporate stress reduction techniques to balance your mood, replace negative self-talk and build positive reinforcements, and experience the benefits of a physical yoga practice to reduce feelings and symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Vinyasa Yoga is an alignment-based, fluid movement class designed to build strength and stability with functional movement. While Vinyasa is not necessarily fastpaced, you can expect to challenge your full body strength, mobility and stability through several familiar postures and post ure transitions. This class focuses on dynamic stretching and muscle integrity as opposed to long held static postures. This class is appropriate for students who already have a regular yoga practice and are looking to take their practice to a new level.
